October & November

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. It's been a pretty busy couple of months. Well I am contiuning my recovery from surgery and it has gone really well. Here is a break down of what went on in October and November.

October:
I spent quite a bit of my time off working on wedding plans and doing what I could without over exerting myself. Still in need of catering and photography.

I also had the joy of watching my newest nephew Rylan Dale be born on Oct. 27 at 12:27 PM. He was 7lbs 7oz and 21 inches long. He is doing well, went to the doctor yesterday and was at 10lbs but has baby gerd and now needs to eat every 1 1/2 hr. I pray for my sister and my mother. Rhett is doing okay about being a big brother but he has been acting up quite a bit and we think it's because he's a little jealous, no longer the center of attention.

November:
Had the opportunity to go to Dallas with my mom and best friend Christi to find a wedding dress. I found the perfect one. I can't wait to wear it. Still need shoes and a head piece to go with my veil.
Started back to work on the 9th. Worked about 30 hours the first week and then back to full time the following week. I still occasionally have to get up and walk around every once in a while.

Thanksgiving was a rough day for Micheal, his family and myself. His Mimi passed away after a long battle with cancer. We however are thankful that she is no longer suffering, she was a devoted Christian and loved the Lord with all her heart. We had visitation on the 29th and laid her to rest on the 30th.

I also started to work during the holiday for Mundt Music and I am helping run their mall kiosk down by JC Penny's, makes for long days but a little extra cash is helping.

December:
Not much to report so far since it is only the 3rd but Michael and I did start the VOW program last night and I am really looking forward to it over the coming weeks.

Another main event in my life is that Granny has received a place at colonial village and will be moving in this weekend. I think that this is a wonderful thing for her, becuase it will allow her to interact and spend time with other people, but still allow her to live by herself.

Okay well I think that is it for now. Sorry I do not have pictures of Rylan up yet. I will see what I can do about that soon.

Engaged surgery

Well I should start off with the wonderful news in my life. Michael proposed to me on Monday night. It was really sweet and simple here at his house.

This ring has 9 brillant cut round diamonds the 3 on the top and then 3 on each side under the top diamonds. Then it has 4 baguettes on each side of the top. I just absolutely love it. I really wanted sometime that was unique and antique looking.

On Wednesday I went in for my hysterectomy and everything there went fine, I just got home around 10:30 today after spending two very boring days in the hospital. I really want to make it to church on Sunday but I can promise anything. Please feel free to call or stop by if you want. I would love to see everyone its been kinda lonely. My family along with Michael and his family have been super supportive and I don't know what I would do with out them.

This is a picture from the Dallas trip Michael and I took a couple of weeks ago.

God has another plan for me

I am posting this tonight, with a heavy heart. Yesterday my mom and I had a visit with Dr. Doerrfield. This is the 5th OB/GYN I have seen in the last 6+ years about my condition. I have been dealing with Endometriosis and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome for a long time and had surgery back in '07 in hopes to control the situation but 2 years later it has come back and even worse this time. After a lot of thought, prayer and conversations with my family, Michael, and close friends who have dealt with the same issues. I have made a decision. I will be having a hysterectomy on Oct. 7th at Longview Regional. While I know that I am still young and have yet to have children, this is a decision I did not come to quickly. I need to have my life back, this has taken over it for way too long and I am tired of it. I want to be happy and enjoy the upcoming months. For those who do not know yet. Michael and I are getting married, we are not officially engaged yet but wedding plans are in the works and a date is set. I will announce the date when I get the ring. Please keep me and Michael in your prayers over the next couple of weeks, because this not only changes my life plan but his as well. We will just have to give our love to a child who has no one though adoption. It has always been in my mind to adopt one day and now is my chance. I am just thankful that I have a wonderful loving man in my life who just wants the best for me.

Photo Overload

When my grandmother was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago, the cousins got to talking a realized that we have not had a cousin picture taken since 1987.

We decided that it was time to get a new one. So on Sunday, the cousins in Longview headed to meet our other cousin in Shreveport and we had Michael take pictures of us in a park by the Boardwalk. I even got some good pictures of Michael and I. So enjoy.

We saw this sign after the pictures were finished. One problem is that we were not supervised.

I even got some good pictures of Michael and I.

Granny

Granny is my only living grandparent and I am having a really hard time right now. Her health is continuing to deteriorate and I just got back from the cardiologist office with her and the prognosis is not good, I will have more answers this afternoon when the labs come back. There is a 90% chance that she has kidney failure and will possibly have to go on dialysis. She has already voice her opinion on this and has said that if it will have to be long term she does not want to do it. She's 87 years old and has been a widow for over 20 years, I know that she is ready to go home to Pawpaw but I'm not ready to let her go. I am emotionally strained right now, and other than just helping her be comfortable there is nothing really that I can do. I live with her and watch her go down hill every day. I try to do everything I can to get her out of the house but she is just not strong enough anymore. Please be praying for us.
